Night Warehouse Operations Manager

To manage the warehouse and operations pick team to ensure successful delivery of KPI’s and business requirements. Working with the site management team to help ensure effective systems are in place to maintain optimum service levels.

To take a proactive approach to managing performance of the pick and consolidation areas, and the people, identifying areas of development and supporting in line with succession & development plans.

Shift: Monday to Thursday nights, 8 hour shifts between the hours of 18.00-06.00

Key Duties
- Overseeing management of the warehouse pick and operation functions, ensuring SLA’s and KPI’s are met and costs are controlled.
- Effective performance management of team to ensure that targets are met and to ensure that the warehouse operational team are motivated and have the relevant skills, knowledge and attitude to contribute effectively to maximise accuracy and productivity.
- Working closely with site management team to ensure that any issues are dealt with efficiently and service levels are maintained.
- Management of people, ensuring that team issues are resolved effectively, and decisions are consistent and in line with Company policy promoting a positive work culture.
- Overall responsibility for training for use of equipment of MHE and operating equipment for all employees and record keeping.
- Supporting the claims process by leading investigations and ensuring processes are followed quickly and efficiently until closure.
- Ensuring productivity and activity is measured in line with budgetary labour costs.
- Responsible for ensuring that H&S procedures are adhered to at all times including visitors and contractors.
- Playing a major role in on and off site meetings with internal and external customers to ensure business requirements are met.
- Responsibility for BRC requirements / internal quality standards of the site and ensure the operation adheres to the demands of this.
- Ensuring that daily handover reports and warehouse management reports are completed.
- Producing, analysing and providing feedback on daily, weekly and monthly reports relating to performance and finance suggesting improvements when necessary.
- Responsibility to identify, promote, support and implement continuous improvement programs
- Overseeing the implementation of new business in line with customer requirements.

**Qualifications**
- Operational management experience within a FMCG warehouse environment
- People management experience, including direct and indirect reports
- Warehouse health & safety legislation, including accident and incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Consolidation and loading operations in FMCG Industry
- Understanding of WMS systems with the ability to interrogate the information
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Customer relationship management
- Budget and productivity management
- Operational management experience within a temperature-controlled warehouse environment
- Working within a quality system framework BRC/ISO
- Management of budgets
- Project management and delivery
