**The primary purpose of the role**:
Providing a valuable service in our Distribution Department, to organize the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods out the country.

**Principal Requirements/Responsibilities**:
Raising a job file once the booking has been taken

Book appropriate transport to meet the requirements of goods to be transported

Data Entry

Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficient

Provide complete manifests or delivery notes for use by transport and warehouse staff as required

Ensure that geographic knowledge is updated frequently to enable efficient and effective use of transport

Develop effective relationships with overseas agents and suppliers

Develop key service relationships with external and internal stakeholders for an effective and efficient service

Any reasonable duty as required by your line manager

POD collection from suppliers and upload to the system

Invoicing customers according to the tariffs

**Experience/Skills required**:
Experience working within logistics operations or transport office is preferable

Import/export experience preferable

Ability to work to a deadline essential

Ability to consolidate cargo in the UK with a good understanding of how to maximize their trailer payloads

Must be able to plan loads and have experience with using weights/cubes

Good communication skills and a high level of customer service

Ability to work as part of a busy team

Ability to work on own initiative

Good communication and organizing skills

Experience with Microsoft packages
