To support recent large contract awards and the building of our second and largest machining facility, WEC Group Ltd requires experienced **CNC Programmers/Operators, **based at Walker Park, Blackburn.

This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated and capable **CNC Programmers/Operators**, that wish to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding machining business

**Responsibilities**
- Working within a predominantly medium to high batch machining cell
- Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Expertly program, set-up, and operate CNC machines using one or more of the specified control systems.
- Choose and prepare the right tools and materials for each machining job.
- Vigilantly monitor the CNC machines to guarantee consistent quality in production runs.
- Conduct regular maintenance routines on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, aiming for continuous process improvement.
- Adhere to the highest safety standards and protocols.
- Diagnose and resolve any challenges encountered during the production process.
- Stay updated on advancements in machining techniques and control systems to uphold our industry-leading standards.

**Knowledge, Skills, Experience**
- Ability to program one of the following - Haas, Heidenhain, Mazak, Fanuc or Siemens
- 3+ Years experience working within CNC Programming
- Highest standards of H&S and Quality is essential
- Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts
- Working with various materials including exotic grade alloys
- A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy is essential
- A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team

**Working Location/Environment**

Blackburn, Lancs - BB1 2JU

**Working Hours**

We have both Day shift and Night shift roles open, in which the times are specified below

**Day Shift**:

- Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 16:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm

OR

**Night Shift** - Monday to Thursday 8:15pm - 6:00am
