**Wellness Health and Safety Manager**

We are seeking a Wellness expert for our client, a global higher education leader, to develop, implement and drive wellness, health & safety strategy and help stakeholders across the global divisions to meet wellness, health and safety goals.

Please note, this is a 14-month fixed term maternity cover contract.

**Wellness Health and Safety ManagerResponsibilities**

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the divisional wellness strategy and the management of the annual wellness action plan
- Developing wellness initiatives and leading on a positive safety culture in the division
- Providing board and CEO reports on performance and development
- Supporting and advising staff on WHS best practices
- Conducting training analysis
- Contributing to development of best wellness and health and safety practices, policies and procedures
- Leading on the division critical incident plans

**Wellness Health and Safety ManagerExperience**

To be successful in this role you will have previous working experience within a wellness focused role with proven and demonstrable experience of contributing to, enhancing, promoting and driving wellness strategy as the wellness lead. This is a standalone,leadership role, reporting to the Head of HR and you must have exceptional stakeholder management and networking skills with the credibility, confidence, and gravitas to liaise across the business divisions at all levels and in multiple global locations fromnorthern America to Australia, Europe and the UK in a business partnering capacity. You will have the knowledge and expertise to be able to support leaders in developing and implementing their WHS plans and have the interpersonal and facilitation skills toguide and advise, train and coach, persuade and influence. You will have experience of managing critical incidence across a global team and of conducting and managing wellness surveys, reporting data to the global board and Executive team.

Previous education sector experience would be an advantage. You will possess solid and in-depth knowledge of wellness, health & safety practices, standards, and statutory requirements. A NEBOSH certification, Occupational Health and Safety or equivalentis required alongside a wellness related certification or qualification.

Our client is based in Abingdon (OX14)

The full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week. The offices are new and offer plenty of opportunities for collaboration. There is on-site parking as well as nearby transport links.

Hybrid/remote working is available as required.
