As a Payroll Specialist 12 Months FTC for Irish payroll, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services in accordance with agreed processing timelines. You will complete and sign off on payroll controls and checks, adhering to governance routines. You will handle customer complaints, investigate root causes, and implement remediation actions. You will raise Risk Events promptly, investigate their causes, and establish remediation plans.

You will support HR Operations teams, ensuring day-to-day tasks are completed within SLA and systems are effectively administered. You will maintain relationships with key stakeholders, providing service updates and insights. You will manage the quality, accuracy, and delivery of the Payroll Service, ensuring compliance with local legislative requirements and Barclays Policy. You will handle statutory and business-requested changes to payroll systems, validate changes to employees’ pay, and manage the monthly payroll process, including reconciliation and payment.

To be successful as a **Payroll Specialist **you should have experience with
- Payroll Experience.
- Customer Service experience - ability to handle difficult callers and explain complex queries clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure, coordinate and prioritise activities, self-discipline and motivation.
- Communication skills, with the ability to communicate to people at all levels both written and verbal.
- Close attention to detail and accuracy while working under pressure.

**Purpose of the role**

To manage payroll functions, including calculating employee pay, withholding taxes, and any other deductions, as well as maintaining accurate payroll records for the business.

**Accountabilities**
- Processing of payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees, calculating tax and other contributions, withholding, and paying out as appropriate.
- Employee payroll record administration and troubleshooting.
- Guidance and support to employees on all payroll matters, including queries related to calculations of salaries and wages, overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
- Compliance related statutory filings including the management of the reply to Government institution notices related to all Statutory obligations.
- Payroll statutory reporting and filing including liaison with relevant local tax authorities.
