**The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle **is seeking a **Maintenance Assistant** on a temporary basis, to join our busy team.

**What we expect from a Maintenance Assistant**:

- Providing day to day maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior areas of the hotel
- Working with the Housekeeping team to ensure bedrooms are maintained to a high standard
- Assisting with Health and Safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations
- Building your knowledge of hotel areas as well as general maintenance tasks
- Working as part of a team to ensure a prompt response to any maintenance issues raised.

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience of general property maintenance
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, as rostered, weekend work is included
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at work regulations
- The ability to work as part of a team or independently, using initiative as required
- The ability to respond quickly and problem solve effectively
- Good communication skills

- Situated on the iconic Newcastle Quayside overlooking the famous River Tyne, the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is perfect for both the business and leisure traveller. The hotel provides modern guest rooms which combine standard, club and suite accommodation all of which have picturesque riverside views.
- Dining facilities at the hotel include The Quay 7 Restaurant which offers an à la carte menu with a variety of seasonal dishes. The Quay 7 bar and outdoor terrace offer an extensive wine list and a selection of beers and spirits, along with a variety of hot beverages.
