We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner on a full-time, permanent contract based at our Mansfield site.

Shift: Any 5 in 7 Days 08:00 - 16:00

**Salary**: £24,000-£28,000 pa depending on experience

You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day planning of the transport operation, through the efficient planning of the transport operation.

A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions to the customer.

**Responsibilities**:

- Subcontracting and planning orders out of multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
- Liaising with Traffic and Administration teams to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times.
- Maintaining, creating and updating spreadsheets and databases for customer reports.
- Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that arise.

**Qualifications**
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment.
- Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
- Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business.
- Have the ability to identify and suggest improvements to benefit both the Company and our customer.
- Be a highly motivated individual able to work as part of a small friendly team.
- Knowledge of SAP, BPCS and Road Runner would be advantageous.
