Copywriter

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Copywriter to join our Brand Marketing team on a fixed term contract for approximately 12 months to cover Maternity Leave, starting mid-April. This is a full-time position, based in our York Head Office at NorthminsterBusiness Park, Upper Poppleton, free parking available on site. We offer flexible start and end times and hybrid working 1 day per week from home once fully trained.

**Key responsibilities of the Copywriter position include**:

- Working alongside another copywriter, own all written content across our platforms and channels
- Drive TOV and ensure alignment across all customer touch points
- Creating copy for all customer facing channels, flexing tone to requirement (including international variations)
- Writing concise, functional and optimised product descriptions for e-comm and catalogues
- Creating SEO focused blog content
- Crafting social copy that shows personality and drives engagement
- Contributing ideas for, and creating campaign positioning documents
- Collaborating with total marketing function on bespoke projects

**Our ideal Copywriter will have**:

- Previous experience in copywriting for fashion or footwear sector or freelance experience with a degree in a relevant field
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with impeccable spelling and grammar
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- An interest in fashion retail and brand building
- Innate knowledge of the customer
- The ability to efficiently plan workload and switch between changing priorities with ease
- A keenness to learn footwear specific terminology
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently

**Pay & Benefits for our Copywriter**:
Salary circa £23,000 per annum depending on experience, plus:
