**Role Profile**
**Job Title: Creative Arts Therapist**
**Salary: £24,500-26,500 pro rata per annum (dependent upon experience)**
**Hours: 22.5-37.5 hours**
**Holidays: 25 days plus 8 statutory holidays per annum pro rata**
**Location: The post will be a hybrid one with a combination of home working and at Imara premises in Nottingham City Centre and Mansfield, plus satellite centres in Nottinghamshire County. The post holder will be required to travel to support clients at various community venues e.g. schools, home address, children’s centres**
**Responsible to: Senior Creative Arts Therapist**
**Job purpose: To promote the recovery of young people and vulnerable adults following a disclosure of child sexual abuse by reducing the emotional, psychological and physical symptoms of child sexual abuse through the provision of early intervention therapeutic assessment, psycho-education, strategies for acute stress symptoms and interventions. This work will be undertaken following pre-trial therapy guidelines until the client has completed the Criminal Justice Process.**
**Key Tasks**:
- Develop and deliver a therapeutic service to young people and vulnerable adults following a disclosure or discovery of child sexual abuse
- Carry out assessments, psycho-education, early intervention strategies and individual therapeutic recovery work to young people and vulnerable adults affected by child sexual abuse
- Work within CPS pre-trial therapy guidelines (training will be provided)
- Consider and respond to child safeguarding issues when engaging with all children and young people, working within Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City Safeguarding Board policies and procedures.
- Contribute towards Imara service development, monitoring and evaluation.
- Maintain a caseload and provide accurate, timely and concise electronic records using our online database CharityLog.
- Participate in individual and group clinical supervision, management supervision and team meetings.
- Participate in group work facilitation.
- Provide information to young people and vulnerable adults regarding the impact of the trauma of sexual violence, the potential for recovery and the promotion of prevention
- Promotion of teamwork through good working relationships to actively maintain IMARA’s ethos of responsive, dynamic and innovative practices
**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver IMARA’s early intervention service to family/individuals, communicating with clients to explain the service and encourage engagement
- Explain pre-trial therapy guidelines and what this means specifically in relation to confidentiality and information sharing
- Assess and establish competence and gain informed consent.
- Identify family action plan (key tasks that family/individual face in order to get back on track with day to day life), review and evaluate plan in conjunction with Imara CHISVAs (Children and Young Persons Independent Sexual Violence Advisers).
- Provision of individual therapeutic sessions with young people and vulnerable adults
- Close liaison and partnership working with other Imara Creative Arts Therapists, CHISVA’s and business support team at team meetings, allocation meetings and group supervision
- Close liaison and partnership working with other professionals in the safeguarding network. Attend multi-agency meetings re child or young person e.g. Child Protection conferences and review
