We are seeking a part-time Museum Coordinator at Dorich House Museum. The Dorich House Museum Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination of all daily activities on site, ensuring the smooth and safe running of all museum operations, and supporting the care of the museum collections. This role involves acting as on-site duty manager during public opening hours and requires occasional weekend working.
Dorich House Museum is the 1930s former studio home of the artist Dora Gordine and her husband the Hon. Richad Hare. The museum holds the largest collection of Gordine’s work and items from Gordine and Hare’s collection of Russian art. This role requires onsite working at the museum as duty manager during public opening hours and on other days to support our activities and requires occasional weekend working.
**The Person**:
With an essential interest in arts and heritage, in this busy and varied role you will be the first point of contact for general enquiries and will need strong customer service and administrative skills, including marketing, IT, and finance. You will have a serious approach to public safety and security and will be willing to undertake a first aid qualification. This role requires good general fitness as the museum is split over three floors and a roof terrace (78 steps) and no lift.

This is a part time, 12 months fixed-term position with a starting salary of £12,908.40 per annum (40% pro rata of £32,271.00 per annum).
