Are you available at short notice and seeking an exciting new opportunity as Gatwick Airport's Employee Relations Manager? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for HR.

**What is the role?**

As Employee Relations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the relationship between the company and our people is managed through transparent practices and relevant law.
In this stand alone role you will be a key member of our HR Leadership team and will drive and support the ER agenda.
The focus for the Employee Relations Manager is to create a positive employee relations climate and high levels of employee engagement to bring greater business outcomes as well as better health and wellbeing for employees.

**What will you do?**
- Build a positive workplace culture through HR policies that align with company values and vision and promote strong DE&I, flexible work-life practices, growth opportunities and empowerment.
- Work with internal stakeholders, to identify and build a strong communications channel to reach all employees to enable them to understand the goals of the business and how they contribute.
- Establish an effective method for employees to ‘have their say', by working with the Talent and Learning Lead on the ongoing Engagement survey programme.
- Engage with Head of HSE to create a Wellbeing and positive attendance culture through effective Wellbeing policies and practices.
- Manage the colleague forum to inform and consult on the successful delivery of the organisation's strategy and corporate objectives
- Work in partnership with our Trade Union Colleagues to ensure we jointly work within the Collective Relations Agreement.
- Provide advice and guidance to our People Advisors who manager ER casework.

**Do you have what we're looking for?**
- In-depth HR experience of working within an operational type of environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment, where multi-tasking, thoroughness and prioritisation is essential.
- Commercially minded with the ability to navigate through competing priorities.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to deliver information to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- A strong aptitude for problem solving with the ability to research and offer alternative solutions.
- A willingness to challenge existing practices.
- Experience of working in a unionised environment and working directly with Union representatives.
- CIPD level 7 qualified and significant relevant experience in a similar position
