Full Time, Permanent Position**

Hanako is Berkhamsted’s most unique flower shop. Along with our stunning floral displays, we boast a bar/restaurant serving an amazing range of foods and premium drinks in beautiful surroundings.

We are now looking for a **Head Host** to co-ordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers have a pleasant dining experience.

As Head Host, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Meeting and greeting customers.
- Delivering excellent customer service.
- Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction
- Ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences, contributing to a positive vibe and atmosphere - you will help create a feel-good factor.
- Implementing processes for staff to ensure they provide an excellent dining experience for customers.
- Providing training in proper customer service practices / hospitality skills and service delivery.
- Ensuring client communication / feedback is filtered to the right department or staff.
- Ensuring the preparation of all food orders and beverages including cocktails is up to standard, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed (training staff when required).
- Performing opening and closing duties, cashing up and end of day duties.
- Making sure staff are following cleaning guidelines toilets are cleaned, stocked up and up to standards including checking cleaning.
- Appraising staff performance and providing feedback.
- Looking ahead at market research and current trends to add new services.

**About You**

As Head Host, you will:

- Have exceptional communication and organisation skills.
- Have previous experience working front of house in hospitality / Fine Dining / Bar & Restaurant background, with evidence of maintaining high standards and delivering luxury service.
- Have an upbeat, bubbly personality that leaves a lasting impression.
- Demonstrate good time management skills.
- Lead by example and be able to uplift staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment.
