**What will you be doing as an Operations Manager**:
Working in a busy office as well as visiting another local site on a regular basis, you will be working closely with the Operations Director, ensuring the operational departments are running efficiently and the organisations compliance obligations are beingmet. Duties will include:

- Having departmental responsibility for logistics, design, production and supply chain, ensuring the organisation is compliant with regards Health and Safety, quality, environmental management, ethical supply and carbon reduction planning
- Ensuring the organisation is maintaining its agreed departmental KPIs
- Over time, taking responsibility for managing operational department heads including logistics, design, production, supply chain, data and systems
- Identifying areas for business improvement and implementing solutions
- Ensuring the organisation remains compliant with all health and safety concerns across the organisation
- Managing organisational compliance including: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BES6002, Ethical Trading, Carbon Pledge and Science Based Targets
- Auditing the operational departments to ensure departments are performing to optimal levels and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Working with the operations director in executing the companys carbon reduction strategy
- Managing cost control within departments by ensuring set budgets are followed and where possible improved
- Operating as a lead representative for the organisation to resolve customers and supplier issues

**We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience**:

- Experience in similar Operations Manager or possibly SHEQ Manager role
- A background in a similar role in the construction or manufacturing industry would be very interesting
- Experience of managing and monitoring Health and Safety in the workplace
- Good experience managing staff
- A current full driving licence
- Skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience of working with and auditing ISO (ideally 9001 and 14001)
- Experience of working with environmental issues such as carbon reduction
- Experience with Sage Accounting and AutoCAD would be beneficial but is not essential
