Summary We’re looking to recruit an experienced Buildings Maintenance Supervisor to organise and manage; repairs, maintenance and conservation works that are undertaken by external contractors and also direct labour staff which you will lead and manage.Your portfolioconsists of residential, commercial and agricultural property occupied by our tenants.

You’ll bring to the role a strong background in property maintenance and supervision on sizeable property portfolios, ideally with a knowledge or good understanding of conservation of listed and traditional buildings, and associated building materials andmaintenance techniques.

What it's like to work here You’ll be part of a dynamic estate management team, involved with a diverse range of historic buildings on our residential, commercial and agricultural let estate, located across North Norfolk, working on amazing estates like Blickling.

Working together, our team are focused on managing our tenancies efficiently, effectively and flexibly, fulfilling our responsibilities as a good landlord.As well as working as a key player within your team, you’ll also work with other Buildings Supervisorsacross the Midlands and East England region and help shape our new delivery model and ways of working.

What you'll be doing You’ll work to deliver and implement high standards of maintenance and repair of rental properties. You’ll liaise with external contractors and tenants, so that expectations are managed, and regular updates are communicated. You’ll manage a budget and ensureall resources are used in the most efficient way.

You’ll work closely with other members of the Estate Management team to ensure the appropriate standards of care, maintenance and compliance are achieved. Working collaboratively to plan the workload for the coming year to ensure work is delivered in a timelymanner.

You’ll be proactive in your approach to risk management, working with the team and external contractors to ensure risk assessments are undertaken and all work is compliant with the relevant legislation and policies.

As you’ll be working across the portfolio, you’ll need to hold a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle, you will be able to claim your business mileage.

Who we're looking for To be successful in this role you’ll have:

- A good understanding of repair, maintenance and conservation best practice
- Strong understanding of risk management and compliance requirements in relation to Let buildings and structures.
- Ability to instruct, supervise, and direct Contractors to manage implementation of agreed work programmes/projects relating to building structures and services
- Effective leadership and management of staff
- Competent to manage delegated budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling strong relationships and networks externally and internally
- Professional and confident interpersonal skills to engage with a mixture of tenants, contractors, and National Trust colleagues
- Good IT skills, able to use Microsoft Office and property management programmes
