Packaging Team Leader

**About The Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
**Packaging Team Leader** to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion + turnover.

As a Packaging Team Leader your responsibilities are to control and coordinate all packaging and waste requirements for the operation and to liaise with suppliers and business units, to ensure full availability of packaging and to ensure our customer receives high quality product that meets high specification and in accordance with company polices.

**The hours for this role are 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday**

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Liaise with necessary colleagues / category teams in order to procure all the necessary packaging to allow continuous supply of product to the customer
- Ensure all packaging stocks are controlled and quantities are held between an agreed minimum / maximum stock level
- Ensure that the Packaging store maintains its requirements from a food safety & BRC view around not just packaging, but also other items managed by the Packaging teams
- Develop supplier relationships with a view to comparing and reducing prices through purchasing smarter
- Responsible for arranging delivery and receipt of all packaging items
- Responsible to maintain stock on site and at suppliers to be in line with 12 weeks agreed stock level with Asda to ensure stock write off is to a minimum
- Lead the packaging team to ensure excellent service to operations teams
- Develop supplier relationships with a view to comparing and reducing prices through purchasing smarter

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience of working in the FMCG environment
- Experience in Material Planning
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of working to KPI’s
- Educated to GCSE standard including English and Maths
- Computer Literate with intermediate Excel knowledge as well as Word and Windows
- Excellent telephone manner and effectively communicate on all levels both internal and external
- Attention to detail - numerically and logically
- Auditing, Negotiation and Organisational skills
