- What Is the Opportunity?
- The Associate Auditor participates in audits and compliance reviews of various company business functions. Identifies risks and controls, executes specific testing procedures, and documents results and conclusions reached. Follows department methodology and assists in development of written issues and recommendations for the business.
- What Will You Do?
- Participates in audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews of various company business functions, incorporating an understanding of business processes, risk assessment techniques, GAAP and statutory accounting principles, and generally accepted auditing standards.
- Identifies risks and tests controls associated with financial integrity, operational effectiveness, compliance with rules and regulations, and systems and data integrity.
- Develops and executes specific testing procedures and documents test results for assigned sections of audits/projects.
- Analyzes test results, documents exceptions and arrives at sound fact-based conclusions for assigned sections of audits/projects.
- Prepares documentation in adherence to internal audit professional standards, best practices and Corporate Audit’s methodology.
- Contributes to the preparation of issues and findings including recommendations for improvement.
- Consistently adheres to internal audit professional standards, best practices and Corporate Audit’s methodology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Prior work experience in audit, and/or finance, and/or risk departments.
- What is a Must Have?
- Business related degree required.
- What Is in It for You?
- Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
- Retirement: Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan (“GPPP”). If you decide to contribute an additional amount from your salary, you will receive an increased company contribution up to a maximum of 3%. This would bring the total company contribution to 12%.
- Holiday Entitlement: Start your career at Travelers with a minimum of 25 days holiday entitlement annually, plus the opportunity to purchase additional days to allow for up to a total of 35 holidays per year.
