Engineering and Science Intern

KBR’s global business comprises two main segments - Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.
This is a great opportunity for highly motivated engineering or science students to gain industry experience at a truly global enterprise and a world leader in engineering and sustainable solutions. By joining KBR as an intern, you will be gaining valuable real world experience all while making a difference in the energy transition business.
The position is based in KBR’s Leatherhead Campus. Flexible working can be discussed.
As an intern you will assist in the development of cleanSPEND or inhouse calculator tool.
To do this you will need a general background in science and engineering and an interest in carbon emissions and reductions.
Skills and competencies:
- Very good mathematical skills
- Excellent at Excel
- SQL knowledge an advantage
- Good understanding of engineering principles, materials, energy, construction
- Knowledge of Power BI an advantage
- Good communication and written skill
- Ability and desire to work in teams
- Be able to generate innovative ways of working
