A vacancy has arisen for a full time, (37.5 hours per week) Team Administrator based at Gilbert Hitchcock House, Bedford, MK40 2AW to support the Bedfordshire & Luton Perinatal Mental Health Service.

This vacancy is being advertised as a full time, Monday to Friday 9am 5pm permanent position.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is flexible and has excellent administration and communication skills. You must have the ability to work unsupervised, under pressure and be able to deal sympathetically with patients and relatives of people with mental health problems. Your main responsibilities will be to provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinical team and be the first point of contact for all telephone calls received in the Perinatal Mental Health Service. Previous administration experience is essential as well as experience using Microsoft office packages.

You will be part of an existing team of administration staff who provide comprehensive administration support to the Service. You should have good verbal and written communication skills.

To provide administrative support to the service ensuring efficient and smooth running of the team/unit. To work closely with Team Administration Lead to provide an efficient and responsive administrative provision to the service. Responsible for developing own administration systems for the team and providing day to day administrative support to the team, together with staff supervisions/appraisals where necessary. The post requires the ability to work on own initiative and to liaise effectively with a broad range of professions and to maintain client confidentiality.

To provide an effective and efficient administrative and clerical service to all doctors and managers in (Locality) by typing discharge summaries and tribunal reports. S/he will also be expected to work flexibly within the administration team
