Payroll Specialist

**Are you a detail-oriented and experienced payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and process improvement?** We are seeking a skilled **Payroll Specialist** to join our dynamic team and manage the smooth and timely delivery of payroll for employees across multiple regions. In this important role, you’ll work closely with external payroll providers, the People team, business leaders, and employees to ensure compliance with statutory regulations while resolving payroll queries.
Focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement, you will have the opportunity to contribute to optimizing payroll processes and support the implementation of a new HRM software platform (approval pending). **Key Accountabilities**:

- Act as the main interface with external payroll bureaus, ensuring accurate processing of payroll for multiple countries in EMEA & APAC.
- Process monthly pension and benefit submissions & reconciliations for all relevant countries.
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll and pension-related queries from finance and employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll payments and associated taxes are calculated and paid.
- Review and update employment cost calculators to ensure all payroll costs are captured accurately.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations, and pay law changes across all regions.
- Assist in generating Gender Pay Gap reports, EU Pay Directive reporting, and other payroll-related data as needed.
- Support the year-end payroll reporting process across EMEA & APAC.
- Collaborate with the People Experience Team, Global People Partners, and Finance teams on various payroll-related projects.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience in global payroll, particularly in the UK.
- Experience with ADP iHCM and managed service payroll software.
- Familiarity with working with multiple payroll providers and timelines.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivots).
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Cascade) and the ability to leverage data effectively.
- Structured and organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of queries efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement.

Our current working environment is 3 days per week office based at our Reading Headquarters and 2 days from home per week**.**
