**Female Personal Assistant needed asap.**

**A kind, flexible and dedicated carer needed to join a small but wonderful team to care for my 95-year-old mum. FULL DAYS. Driver/own car preferred, not essential.**

**Rate**: £11.00 plus holiday pay and mileage allowance.

**Hours**: 1 - 2 days a week. Thursday and possibly Friday. 7.30 am - 7.30pm or sometimes longer e.g. 8.00/8.30pm.

Everyone works as a team and covers for each other when staff are ill (not often) and for planned holiday cover. This involves occasionally covering various morning, lunch or evening shifts as they arise.

**Brief details**:
**Area**: NE5 - 2 minutes from Kenton Bar roundabout
- Someone within walking distance / close by is also ideal.
- Must be conscientious, patient, responsible and able to show initiative.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- A care or nursing background ideal but not essential.
- Non-smoker much preferred
- Probationary period of 4 weeks
- Must be willing to provide references and undergo a DBS check.

**My mum is a charming, witty, chatty and active 95-year-old but has some dementia / Alzheimer’s.** She loves going out for coffee and cake, lunch, drives in the country or by the sea. She loves music, singing and seeing her friends at church. TV shows like The Chase, the News, Emmerdale, Agatha Christie, Vera etc. I want to keep her engaged and active as long as possible.

You would be part of a great, small, caring team whose prime concern is my mum's welfare. To do this they support each other to enable the best possible standard of care.

**I am looking for a genuine, friendly and honest person who will be able to develop a rapport with my lovely mum**. She needs someone patient and with a sense of humour to engage with her. The role would involve tasks at home like preparing meals and ensuring she drinks and eats enough as this can be a challenge. Also some household chores and home organisation.
