**JOB - Controls Engineer**LOCATION - Hampshire**TERM - Permanent**SALARY - £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience**My client is an automation company which designs, builds and commissions control systems for process automation projects. They are looking for a Control Engineer to join their team in the Hampshire area on a permanent basis, to supply professional automation,control and instrumentation services to their clients.
**The Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- A relevant Hons Degree or HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar
- A least 3 years’ experience in an industrial design environment
- Understanding of PLC programming and SCADA configuration
- Ideally some management experience
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly and professional manner
- Their own mode of transport

**The Controls Engineer role will involve**:

- Hardware design, panel building, installation and commissioning relating to industrial control systems, data processing systems, instrumentation and electrical systems
- Writing PLC software
- Configuring SCADA and MES systems
- Managing the projects of single and multiple controllers
- Ensuring Health & Safety requirements are met during project work
- Working in conjuncture with the SCS ISO9000 quality management system and client standards
- General administration duties
- Travel and sometimes staying away from home for site visits, commissioning or installation management
