Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Dispatch Operative & 7.5T Driver:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Goods Handling**:

- Receive, handle, and dispatch goods in the Goods In and Dispatch department.
- Assemble parts according to customer specifications and job pack information.
- **Packing and Dispatch**:

- Pack and prepare items for dispatch, conducting quality and quantity checks.
- Ensure correct handling, palletizing, and storage of products to maintain high standards.
- **Transport Arrangements**:

- Assist the Goods In & Dispatch Manager in making transport arrangements.
- Operate an assigned vehicle (up to 7.5T) for customer order deliveries in the absence of the delivery driver.
- **Logistics Support**:

- Arrange transport or collection of orders.
- Load and unload goods, lifting and moving products as required.
- Confirm correct quantities of goods received and check the quality of components.
- **Administrative Tasks**:

- Label pallets correctly with material thickness and purchase order number.
- Carry out daily checks on Fork Lift Trucks.
- Maintain a clear front of the house and unobstructed access to bays.
- **Communication**:

- Communicate with other departments about issues affecting customers.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers when necessary.
- **Performance and Reporting**:

- Meet daily and weekly targets, reporting progress to the line manager.
- Work with a focus on high-quality output.

**Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes**:

- ** Essential**:

- A valid UK driving license with the 7.5T category.
- Proven experience of driving a 7.5T vehicle.
- Skilled forklift driver with experience in safely loading and unloading palletized goods.
- Proven experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Good attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and understand engineering job packs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, courteous, and honest attitude.
- Positive attitude towards innovation and change.
- **Desirable**:

- Understanding of and experience with pallet racking.
- Previous experience in logistics and transport coordination.
