**About the role**:
Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will work in a team supporting the efficient handling and management of steel materials. Responsibilities include:

- load / unload delivery vehicles safely using appropriate equipment, ensuring you are authorised and trained to operate
- preparing loads for galvanising, receiving returned items and preparing them for final dispatch
- checking bundles prior to despatch using check / control sheets
- inspect galvanised material for quality, carry out minor remedial work where required, and report any significant concerns
- complete all relevant paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring traceability and quality standards are maintained
- maintain a clean, tidy and hazard-free work area
- carry out manual tasks safely and within physical and technical capabilities

**About you**:
As well as being organised and motivated, we would like someone who:

- has working knowledge on yard process, tools and equipment
- has great attention to detail and accuracy
- has energy, enthusiasm, positive and a can-do attitude
- has the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- preferably has structural steelwork experience
- has a proactive approach to health, safety, environment and quality
