Community Support Worker

As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and professional support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities, personal care, and emotional well-being. Your role will focus on enhancing the quality of life for service users, promoting their independence, and providing a safe and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Personal Care Assistance**: Provide help with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, while maintaining the dignity and respect of individuals.
- **Daily Living Support**: Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, feeding, mobility support, and light housekeeping.
- **Medication Support**: Administer prescribed medications and monitor health conditions.
- **Health and Well-being Monitoring**: Observe and report any changes in the physical or emotional health of service users, ensuring their well-being is maintained.
- **Emotional Support**: Offer emotional support and companionship.
- **Promoting Independence**: Encourage and support service users in maintaining or increasing their independence and autonomy in daily activities. This can include participating in social or recreational activities.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- **Safeguarding**: Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and protection of vulnerable adults.
- **Person Centred Care -** Support service users using a person centred approach.
**Working Hours**: This role may involve shift work, including weekends and evenings, to provide round-the-clock care and support. Shift patterns will be discussed at interview stage.
**Registration with the SSSC and Disclosure Scotland's PVG scheme, are an essential requirement of this post. Applications for both will be made only after a conditional offer of employment is made.**
