We are looking for a strong practical engineer, someone is happy installing cables, trunking and patch panels, can install comms equipment in cabs, mount cabs on walls and ceiling mount wifi access points using ladders and / or cages. The person may alsobe diagnosing basic network issues at the branch, helping to install equipment and generally act as an extension of IT Support when present.

Whilst at the Bristol Office, the person will be an extension of the 2nd Line function of our Helpdesk, providing hands on where necessary.

The role does involve a lot of travel (a van is provided) and most weeks you can expect to be working in a different branch/location each day, or were necessary, some overnight stays may be involved which will normally be on account (Premier Inn). Due tothe nature of the role, there may be some limited weekend and/or evening work required for which you will be compensated.

**Essential**
- Practical experience working as an IT Field Engineer
- Practical experience of installing CAT5/6 cabling
- Basic knowledge of Cisco & Meraki switches & routers
- Basic knowledge of VLANs and traffic routing
- Working knowledge of Win 10 / 11
- Working knowledge of installing printers
- Driving license

**Desirable**
- Network analysis experience with Wireshark (or other tools)
- Understanding of DNS / DHCP
