Premier Engineering has engaged with a key client, who are the world’s largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems.
Due to continuous growth and new business my client has an exciting new opportunity for an HV Systems Engineers on a permanent basis in Coventry.
**Your Responsibilities**:

- support customers in several areas relating to vehicle electrification, from high voltage components engineering and integration to electrified powertrain supervisory control development.
- The role requires working with other team members and the customer to deliver projects according to the plan. This will include the following key activities.
- Support the development, integration and testing activities for e-drive and other electrified systems.

**This will include the following key activities:**:

- Identify and develop use cases for ADAS features following the ADAS process and toolchain.
- Develop, define, and refine functional and non-functional requirements for ADAS features (from feature level down to component level) as well as performance KPIs.
- Develop test plans and test cases for ADAS features, ensuring an appropriate requirements coverage and traceability back to use cases.
- Plan, conduct and evaluate vehicle and systems tests in virtual environments (including SiL, HiL, simulation), on test tracks and public roads.
- Regularly report and present projects activities to other team members and senior management.
- Identify and resolve conflicts in meeting technical requirements.
- Engage with customers to understand and track project milestones and deliverables dates.

**Your Profile**:
**Essential**:

- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of hybrid components fundamentals
- Experience in e-drive system development, power inverters and electric motors
- Ability to comprehensively understand customer requirements and follow product development processes
- Ability to carry out activities in product qualification to international automotive standards
- Experience in Simulink development
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Analytical and conceptual capabilities
- Good written and oral English
- Confident in presenting to management and technical specialists

**Preferable**:

- Experience in either electronics requirements, design, integration, test, verification and control or a higher academic degree (e.g., MSc, PhD) relating to power electronics, control, automation.
- Knowledge of high voltage components (power supplies, DCDC converters, inverters, chargers, etc)
- Experience in high voltage tests, component verification, EMI, etc
- Project Management, Product Quality, DOORS or similar
