Supervising Sports Coach

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervising Sports Coach to join our team. As a Supervising Sports Coach, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the coaching staff and ensuring the highest standards are being delivered in our schools & holiday camps. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a positive environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, evaluating coaches performance, and coordinating with other departments to support the overall success of our delivery. You will also mentor and guide coaches, providing them with the necessary tools and strategies to enhance their coaching effectiveness.

**Duties**:

- Evaluating staff performance and providing suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positivity and motivation for a minimum of 5 hours per week.
- Assessing strengths and weaknesses of staff performance and identifying areas for further development.
- Adapting to the needs and interests of a group and individual staff members.
- Demonstrating an activity by breaking the task down into a sequence.
- Encouraging staff to gain and develop skills, knowledge, and techniques.
- Ensuring that staff train and perform to a high standard of health and safety at all times.
- Inspiring confidence and self-belief within others.
- Working with IT-based resources to monitor and measure performance.
- Acting as a role model, gaining the respect and trust of the people you work with.
- Liaising with other partners, such as schools and local facilities, this could include visiting new potential schools etc. to promote OHM Sports & Fitness Ltd and attend events attend by OHM Sports and Fitness ltd.
- Working to a high legal and ethical standard at all times, particularly in relation to issues such as child safeguarding and health and safety requirements
- To ensure all new staff receive appropriate training prior to starting their first shift on their own.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
- To provide new staff with details of each school’s procedures, safeguarding, Rota cloud, National College and OHM Sports & Fitness company polices.
- To provide cover if needed should no other suitable person is available to cover.
- Manage and mentor staff to ensure they are up to date on training provided by OHM Sports & Fitness Ltd by the required deadline, and to have a thorough knowledge of the training provided.
- Ensure that there is regular contact with each member of staff at least once a week.
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the business
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness
- Managing & taking telephone bookings
- Assist with project coordination and trackingRequirements:

- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Google Docs & Canva
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Willingness to learn

**Experience in a similar position is desirable**

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
