A Buyer is required for a large manufacturing and distribution organisation within the Newcastle area. This is a Hybrid role working 2-3 days in the office. The business offers flexible working, competitive salary and benefits packages.

The business is a specialist retailer which has been established for decades and is currently going through a high level of growth.

Supporting the business in its Purchasing activities you will be responsible for PO management, Supplier Management, and Purchasing strategy all to support the business to ensure it has the right materials and products at the right time to fulfil its orders.

This is a UK based role but you will be working within a European Supply Chain function and will work closely with your international colleagues.

**Key job duties.**
- Generate PO's in line with supplier orders to ensure fast and efficient supply can payment.
- Expediting orders
- Efficient use of their ERP system to ensure stock, order and inventory accuracy to fulfil the demand
- Work with suppliers to ensure service levels are being met and develop strong relationships.

**To be successful in becoming their new Buyer you will**:

- Have worked within a fast-paced, commercial environment within a purchasing role
- Experienced in working with suppliers
- Ability to learn and use an ERP system
- Be very organised with attention to detail
- Ability to use ME Excel to an intermediate level
