We are looking for to recruit a Graduate School Scholarships and Funding Coordinator who will be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of the Graduate School’s PGR admissions and selection, scholarships and funding, pre-arrival and induction responsibilities.
**The Opportunity**:
The post holder will use their experience and detailed understanding of established PG admissions, funding & finance policies, procedures and regulations, and exercise their expert knowledge, judgement and initiative to skilfully oversee a busy administrative workload linked to the School’s complex PGR admissions, selection, scholarships and funding portfolio. They will also lead on the pre-arrival and induction activities as new students commence their PGR programmes.
The Graduate School Scholarships and Funding Coordinator will line manage two members of the Graduate School team and will deputise, occasionally, for the Graduate School Manager.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:
Essential
- Educated to degree level or HNC/HND or equivalent level qualifications, plus a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in an HEI.
- Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of PG admissions policies and processes, and experience working in accordance with set regulations, policies, and processes in a PG admissions and/or scholarships related work environment.
- Experience coordinating PG scholarships and funding and ensuring compliance with complex funding terms and conditions; an ability to manage, interpret, report and analyse data from student and financial data sets.
- Line management experience and an established ability to oversee and direct the work of others.
- Proven ability to work independently, plan own work activities, and that of others, to ensure effective service delivery, resolving conflicting timescales and priorities independently as well as an ability operate in a team environment.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentational) and interpersonal skills, and initiative to respond to scholarships and funding related queries and issues and to decide on the most appropriate action.
- Proven ability to work as a team member, and a willingness to work flexibly and at times under pressure to meet time critical deadlines with competing priorities.
- Excellent computing and systems competency commensurate with the requirements of the role (including but not limited to MS Office, Outlook, internal student and financial databases); demonstrable experience of effectively using and working with HEI student records and database systems.
