**Technical Accounting Manager**
**£75,000 - £85,000**

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from Big 4 looking to make the move into industry, or who already has some industry experience looking to develop in a growing global marketing and data business, at group level.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for monthly reporting for complex accounting areas and preparing the relevant budgets and forecasts
- Co-ordination of any technical matters arising from M&A activity (e.g. purchase price allocations, deferred consideration calculations, preparation of completion statements, restating comparatives for discontinued operations) and supporting newly acquiredcompanies to align their accounting policies
- Assist with the preparation of the half yearly external financial statements
- Own the Group's accounting policy manual, proactively updating sections and performing impact assessments
- Prepare management papers summarising technical accounting matters and prepare succinct memos
- Liaise with the external auditors
- Engage with the Group's M&A team to assist with pre-completion deal support (e.g. reviewing due diligence)
- Provide support to the local business for any accounting queries by understanding the issues and business environment to provide appropriate advice
- Responsible for supporting and coaching one direct report

**Experience**:

- Excellent educational background including Big 4 ACA qualification with at least 6 years PQE
- Strong understanding of IFRS, FRS 101, FRS 102 and FTSE listed reporting requirements
- Refined planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management
- Confident and articulate with outstanding communication skills
- Passionate, energetic, high-drive and ambition as well as a high level of initiative and self-motivation
- Proven track record of challenging the status quo, identifying improvements and a determination to drive through change
- Good demonstrable skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and G-Suite
- Experience of HFM, Oracle and SAP financial systems would be advantageous
