**Laboratory Setter Operator**

Machining testing samples

**Key Responsibilities**
- Understanding ASTM/BS EN Requirements for machines test samples (desirable)
- Machining samples to international testing criteria
- Operating CNC and XYZ machines.
- Programming wire Eroder machine to produce impact specimens.
- Programming CNC and XYZ machines.
- Maintaining the CNC and XYZ Machines for day-to-day use.
- Operating milling machine to produce impact specimens.
- Operating surface grinder machine to produce impact specimens.

**The successful applicant will have: -**
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a C grade pass in Maths and English.
- Most of the training is on the job and the experience has been gathered over some years
- Good understanding of customer specifications/machining skills and testing criteria
- High level of honesty and integrity

Hours of work are 40 per week Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
