Our client has an opportunity for a qualified PCV Technician to join the team at the Preston depot, looking after a fleet of 80 buses, which transport their valued customers of the Preston community.

Ideally, they are looking for an individual with a proactive 'can do' attitude, who works well on their own initiative, but also effectively communicates with the rest of the team, ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standard.

Attractive roster - An attractive roster has been produced to create a work life balance colleagues can be happy with. A 6 week roster, working a 4 day week of 10 hour shifts, guaranteeing 40 hours, covering the core hours of 0600 till 1830, apart from 1 week with a finish time of 2100 and working only 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday in 6 weeks. Overtime is available.

Key Accountabilities:
*Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle types
*Diagnosing and rectifying all types of vehicle faults, using diagnostic equipment
*MOT preparation
*Repair all vehicles as required to company and DVSA standards
*Maintain and complete vehicle and Company documentation
*Liaising with the parts department to attain correct parts
*Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
*Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
*Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
*Previous experience working in the automotive industry.
*PCV Licence or willing to work towards acquiring this.
