Ponderosa Zoo is looking for a new highly motivated and enthusiastic Animal Keeper to join the team here in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire. We currently house over 140 animals ranging from Scottish Wildcats to Reindeer. We are continually evolving, and this is an exciting opportunity to join the team of an expanding zoo.

Our requirements:

- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a zoo environment (preferably paid work)
- An appropriate animal related qualification
- Good time keeping, positive attitude and ability to work in a team
- Physically fit enough to fulfil all husbandry duties
- A full UK’s driver’s license

You will work 5 days per week, 37.5 hours in total, and receive 28 days annual leave. This will include some weekends and bank holidays. Perks include complimentary tickets for yourself and family members plus a 50% staff discount off of all gift shop stock and catering facilities.
