**Trainee Mechanical Fitter**

Downhole Tools International seeks a **Trainee Mechanical Assembler**

This is an opportunity for an Trainee Mechanical Assembler to work in an exciting industry with excellent opportunities in a growing company.

**Principal Accountabilities**:
1. The assembly and sub assembly of mechanical, hydraulic & electrical tools.

2. Working closely with DTI engineering team ensuring tools are built to the correct design/specification

3. Carry out work as allocated by the Workshop Supervisor within set timescales and to the DTI standards.

4. Prioritizes workload in accordance with schedule and or supervisory instruction

5. Carry out any duties within level of competence, as requested by the workshop supervisor

6. Flexible will be required to work extra hours during busy period.

7. Maintain and use all PPE as & when required. Ensure health and safety standards are always met

8. Conduct product function/pressure testing in accordance with the company’s QHSE protocols.

9. Record all relevant test results using computer software

10. Participating in training, as required

11. Responsible for working safely at all times and with consideration of the safety of others.

12. Ensure work environment is kept clean/tidy and material/tools/gauges/consumables are correctly stored & accessible.

13. Adhere to all DTI policies and procedures.

14. To carry out other workshop duties, as required.

**Job Knowledge and Experience**:

- Background in mechanic (engines, motor, pumps, hydraulics, industrial engineering)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Assembling product to designated manual and technical drawing.
- Experience of fault finding and general mechanical fitting.
- Flexibility and ability to work as part of a small team
- Qualifications in numeracy and literacy
- Positively receptive to change and taking on additional tasks in any area of assembly/production
- Computer literate

Our working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.00.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
