First Aid Trainer

**Job Title: First Aid Trainer (Maternity Cover)**

**Job Location: Leeds and surrounding area up to 50 miles**

**Salary £22,781 to £24,780 (depending on qualifications) per annum pro rata, based on 35 hours per week**:
**Contract Type: 18 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)**

We have a vacancy for a customer-focused
**First Aid Trainer** to join our team who will play a vital role in delivering first aid training and specialist courses, teaching life-saving skills to people. From helping someone who is unresponsive, to treating burns, we equip people with the confidence to provide potentially lifesaving support in an emergency. The session we deliver depends on the needs of our service users so no two days will be the same
As a customer focused trainer, you will play a vital role to deliver First Aid training and specialist courses using our practical approach of various training techniques to cater for all learning styles. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

**A day in the life of a First Aid Trainer will involve**:

- Delivering a variety of courses to nationally agreed standards at a number of venues, within your area of responsibility
- Providing consistently high-quality training with a focus on the customers learning experience
- Working independently and as part of a team using own initiative
- Ensuring all relevant administration and IT system information is completed and processed as required
- Being responsible for the maintenance & cleanliness of all training resources, in accordance with national standards
- Attending RCT (Red Cross Training) team meetings and development workshops, to maintain up to date knowledge of current legislation and developments in relation to first aid training

**To be a successful First Aid Trainer, You’ll need**:

- Educated to A Level or GCSE equivalent
- Familiarity with web based products and Microsoft
- Ability to use systems and IT to deliver training
- Presentation - structuring and communicating ideas, using visual aids and practical activities
- Problem solving - use own initiative, working with operational difficulties
- Planning - self and time management
- Car user driver
- Training experience
- Recognised Trainer or Teaching qualification (Desirable)
