At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Assistant to join our Group Finance team.

As a Treasury Assistant you will initially work in the Group Treasury to support key funding activities, including responsibility for reporting on the Groups capex and investment activities, as well as maintaining positive relationships with the Group’s banking counterparties, and should expect regular engagement with the Group FC.

This is a great opportunity with development opportunities to achieve your management accountancy qualifications through the apprenticeship levy scheme.

In your role you will use your accuracy and analytical skills to prepare, review, and improve the processes for accurate short-term cash and debt forecasting.

Specifically, you will have responsibility to provide and pro-actively manage capex and investment forecasts, actuals, and variance analysis for the Group, and work closely with the Group FC and CFO to understand the investment spend profiles and related opportunities and risks.

You will use your drive and influence to coach HQ function heads on completion of business case and investment scheme submissions ensuring all relevant source information is reviewed and maintained.

You will utilise your organisational skills to develop, maintain and co-ordinate an action tracker to track actions from inception to closure from the investment committees.

2+ A-levels (essential) or a Graduate in a business or mathematical field (desirable)
6+ GCSEs (B/Level 6 or above) (desirable) including Maths and English
Experience of working in a team (includes volunteer work) (essential)
Experience of working in a business e.g. manufacturing or retail (desirable)
Finance, Product Costing or Capex Controller experience or equivalent (desirable)
Experience / Appreciation of what a business case is / involves (desirable)
Experience / Appreciation of the need for strong controls in a financial arena (essential)
Experience / Appreciation of the need for accuracy in forecasts and reporting (essential)
Experience in MS Word / IT savvy (essential)
