We're recruiting for a Customer Experience Support Assistant for a higher education provider based in Newcastle City Centre.

The role is to start in January for a minimum of 3 months, 37 hours per week, dayshift, Monday to Friday, working on campus.

£11.15 per hour + holiday pay earned as you work.

The main duty of this role is to maintain a high quality Library environment and ensure optimal access to library learning spaces and other facilities. The role holders must be committed to providing excellent customer service and be able to work under pressure

Physical fitness is essential for these posts which require heavy manual handling, including lifting and moving of materials and equipment and the use of trollies and elevators

Duties include:

- Daily checks of the learning environment, resetting furniture as needed.
- Undertake minor repairs and cleaning of equipment as necessary, in line with provided training, capability and competence.
- Report of maintenance requirements outside of the role holder's capability and competence.
- Ensure the shop shelves are stocked, and items for sale are rotated as needed for display purposes and within expiry dates.
- Unpack and good in shop deliveries to the shop store room and checking of stock levels.
- Empty lockers as per the agreed schedule, processing belongings for collection.
- Check the team calendar and ensure spaces/ rooms are reserved for booked events as needed.
- Handle or refer floor-based enquiries

Previous Customer Service experience is essential for this role.
