**Flitwick Day Nursey** rated Good by Ofsted providing care for children from 3 months - 5 years are seeking a **Nursery Assistant ** to come and join the team.

Within this role you will be responsible for a designated group of children as a key person and will guide the children through the daily routine, liaise with parents and provide an enabling environment.

This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:00am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have childcare experience but formal qualifications are not required. Salary starting from £23,795.20 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

**As Nursery Assistant, you will**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
