Health Improvement Support Worker

We are recruiting for a part time Health Improvement Support Worker who shares our Core Principles of focusing on wellbeing and prevention. We strive to improve health and remove inequities by working together with the people of Wales so as to ensure their wellbeing now and in future years and generations.
The successful post holder will be responsible for facilitating the HENRY (Health, Exercise, Nutrition, for the Really Young) Healthy Families Programmes and workshops to families and children on a one to one or group basis, using a variety of interventions, to identify needs and to achieve positive outcomes. Programmes are delivered via Microsoft Teams and face-to-face so facilitators - after receiving training - will be delivering to families, parents and guardians of children aged 0-5. Delivery will take place as an intervention cohort over 6-8 weeks with families that sign up to the programme. Programmes are delivered termly and the role includes promotional work over school holidays.
This will be a highly rewarding role, supporting families across Cwm Taf Morgannwg to engage in healthy behaviours such as 5 a day, getting more active and encouraging more outdoor play for children.
