We’re looking for a Senior Data and Intelligence Analyst to join our team based in the Midlands to carry out data analysis and modelling activities, to derive intelligence and produce recommendations that support the region’s needs assessment, investmentand planning decision making.

This role will work closely with various different teams across Operations and National Highways to ensure the right data is in place for colleagues and stakeholders, and providing analysis and business solutions for required data.

What you’ll be leading on
- Gather, analyse and monitor relevant data from the region’s assets, operations and services to explore patterns, causes and effect and trends within the business.
- Identify areas for further analysis and produce performance and service insights to support and improve operations decision-making.
- Perform regional demand and performance monitoring modelling using analytics tools and techniques.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations safety, customer and delivery performance through the innovative use of data analysis, insights and GIS visualisation techniques.
- Work with regional and wider NH stakeholders to define data sets that support business decision making and assist in driving improvements in data management processes and practices.

To be successful
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and have excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of data analytics methodologies, tools, techniques, and information management principles
- Extensive experience in working with varied sets of data to extract meaningful business and performance insights, with good presentation skills
- Experience in GIS and mapping techniques to enhance data visualisation and analysis
- Understanding of asset management principles
- Proficient user of MS Office software with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and with experience of business intelligence tools
- Track record of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and the ability to influence and negotiate
