**About the role**:
We are currently looking for a Lecturer, to teach Electrical Installation at the City of Portsmouth College, at our **North Harbour** Campus. A Lecturer plays the largest part in a student's experience in education. As a Lecturer you help your learners thrive and reach their aspirational careers and dreams Are you ready to be part of a rewarding journey to make a difference?

Ideally we are looking for qualified electricians who are ready for a new challenge and interested in starting a new career whilst utilising their electrical skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To teach the college programme to students daily and provide high quality learning opportunities to them
- To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student retention, achievement, and success
- To contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, relevant curriculum, and pro-grammes, Curriculum Development responsibilities include actively contributing to the development of new programmes and producing annual schemes of work
- Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment
- Identify and address Mathematics and English needs of learners and work creatively to over-come individual barriers to learning
- Ensure compliance with Quality standards set by the College and/or Awarding Bodies

**To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you**:

- Level 3 qualification in a relevant area
- Industry experience working within an Electrical role
- Level 5 Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards
- Ability to meet targets within set timescales
- Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
