Shift Pattern: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Job purpose:
The Registration Advisers in the Registration Services team handle a wide range of enquiries from visitors who come into the office. Registration Advisers carry out administrative tasks in order to maintain the accuracy of the List of Registered Medical Practitioners.
Main responsibilities:
- Performing identity and document checks for doctors seeking to join the List of Registered Medical Practitioners.
- Dealing with all other service enquiries originating from Registration Services visits.
- Granting and restoring registration for doctors who visit Registration Services.
- Participating in staff training as required.
- Providing a professional and friendly service to doctors visiting the office, including adhering to the dress code at all times.
- Ensuring an acceptable level of knowledge by keeping up-to-date with the companies policies and procedures.
- Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Person Specification - Essential criteria:
- To demonstrate excellent customer service ensuring the needs of internal and external customers are met and our services and contact with customers are delivered positively.
- The ability to use IT systems effectively to meet doctor's needs. MS Outlook and Word are widely used, as is the companies bespoke database and several security systems for verifying and authenticating identity documents.
- The ability to handle varied, complex and unexpected transactions to high standards of accuracy and speed.
- An understanding of in which the company operates, becoming familiar with the structure, policies, and operational procedures of the organisation.
- The ability to use own initiative and exercise good judgement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction and establish credibility with colleagues and visitors at all levels.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills. Registration Advisers require excellent timekeeping skills and flexibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with visitors whose first language is not English.
- The ability to think creatively and suggest improvements to individual and team processes.
