Jigsaw Nursery School Hatch End who are part of the Family First Group are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join their growing team. Within this role you will provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with management, colleagues and parents.

Our nursery has been established since 1994 and recently acquired by the Family First Group and we provide care for children aged from 3 months - 5 years. We have a beautiful, secure, all weather, landscaped garden situated at the back of the nursery. Our nursery is open from 8.00am-18.00pm and we would require you to work varied shift patterns between those times, 40 hours per week.

**As Nursery Assistant, you will**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

**As Nursery Assistant, you will need**:

- Undertaking a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification - desirable
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 6 months experience of working in Early Years - essential
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
