Axon Moore are partnering exclusively with a major Private Equity backed business near Wakefield in their search for a Group Finance Director. The business has undergone rapid growth and has become a sizeable player within their industry, achieving turnoverand profit growth consistently in the last 5 years.
The scope of the role will be extremely broad, ranging from overseeing the day to day finance function, to working closely with the Group CFO on a range of strategic projects.
The role and responsibilities can be summarised as follows:
- Leadership and development of a large finance function
- Involvement with the M&A activity of the group, from due diligence through to post acquisition integration
- Ensuring robust financial controls are implemented and maintained, including close management of cash, WIP and balance sheet
- Implementation of a suite of KPIs to form the basis of a high performance finance team, and to provide timely reports and insight to the wider business
- Heavy involvement with the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Act as a key contact to the wider business for all accounting matters
- Have a wide involvement with a range of business and finance transformation initiatives, including assembling project teams and championing change across the business
- Ensure the business receives first class support and partnering services from the finance function
This person will be required to work closely with C-Suite members of the business, where first class communication skills will be required, and there is the opportunity to contribute significantly and have a high impact on the effective running of the business.
- Qualified finance leader - ideally ACA Qualified from a Top 10 Accounting practice, who has then developed a strong track record in financial leadership positions in industry
- Must have significant experience managing and developing finance teams
- Ambitious leader who is looking to develop their career and take on a CFO role in the next few years
- Be able to share the strategic vision of the board and impart this on both peers and direct reports alike at all times
