The Whisky Shop is the largest specialist retailer of Whisky in the UK with 22 outlets spread across many of our major city high streets.

We are now looking for a new staff member for our York city centre shop to work full time.

This is one of our busiest stores with customers looking for all things whisky, from gift buyers and those looking to expand their interests to collectors and connoisseurs.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or over due to the selling of alcoholic products.

We require people with retail experience, possibly within a similar specialised sales environment. Although experience or an interest in whisky would be beneficial it is not a necessary requirement for the role.

We require applicants to have had specific experience in key holding responsibilities.

Flexibility is key as this shop operates seven days per week and will have varied and later opening times during peak trading. The ability to work evenings and at weekends is essential.

The main tasks in this role involve all aspects of retail from offering great customer service and advice, till operating including cash handling, merchandising, stock replenishment and deliveries which might involve heavy manual lifting and general housework duties to ensure a clean and tidy store

We also operate a mail order service, click and collect service and a whisky auction.

We will mostly be looking for flexibility, confidence and a willingness to learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.74 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
