**Salary-**£10.42 per hour / £11.68 per hour including holiday pay**

- It’s our mission to provide a genuine holiday feeling for our guests. We try to ensure our children and young people have access to stimulating and engaging activities as much as possible. A trip to the cinema or bowling. Fish and chips at the seaside, a game of football on the beach, shopping or catching the bus into town for lunch, these activities are always a hit. We can also guide, encourage and help with independent living skills.

Recently a family member commented their daughter packs her suitcase ready to go on holiday to Russell House. What an honour and accolade to our team, to hear that.

Russell House has an allotment, we grow our own produce which our budding cooks love to use at mealtime. We have a trampoline, disabled swing, sensory room, large cinema room and wonderful outside space.

Unlike many other organisations our full time hours are 36 hours per week. We try to ensure all our team have a good work/life balance.

Hours for this post include some evenings and weekends.

**About You**:

**Personal Qualities**:

- Experience of working with children/young people or adults with disabilities
- An understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Possess a fun attitude and enjoy a busy workplace. Training will be given
- Great communication skills, including active listening
- Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible, adaptable and empathetic
- Patience, Acceptance, Sensitivity, Reliability, Integrity and Resilience

It is essential to have/working towards a level 3 NVQ qualification in working with children and young people, or equivalent.

Drivers licence is an advantage, however there is a bus station only a 10 minute walk away.
