**Apprenticeship Job Title: Finance Apprentice**
**Apprenticeship Qualification: AAT Level 2**
**How does the Apprenticeship work?**
As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else at the company, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification.
You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different Training, Learning & Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in line with your Apprenticeship Qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as ongoing coaching and mentoring from/with your line manager.
AAT Level 2 and Level 3 (industry recognised Qualifications) are delivered on a modular basis, via fortnightly Tutor led group workshops (live, virtual 6 hour sessions) and bi-monthly exams, taken at a local accredited / approved AAT testing centre (location to be confirmed). You will also complete study, assignments and coursework, and a blend of learning and development activities, all, within the workplace, and will be given ‘Protected Time’ each week to do this - so no homework This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all the learning required. You will be part of a small team with the opportunity to progress and develop in a finance as a career.

**About the Role**:
To learn all aspects of finance with Nazareth Care. To become proficient in our accounting system, Cold Harbour. Assist the home administrators where needed. You will be involved in supplier reconciliations, preparation of supplier payment runs and the maintenance of the prepayment schedule.
**And Day to Day?. You will be Responsible for**:
- Entry of supplier invoices onto Cold Harbour.
- Checking supplier invoices entered by homes for correct coding and entry.
- Supplier reconciliations.
- Preparation of supplier payment runs.
- Preparation and review of aged creditors report.
- Maintenance of prepayment schedule.
- Monthly accruals.
- Maintenance of fixed asset schedules.
- Deal with queries from home administrators and suppliers.
- Minute taking.
- Spreadsheet production and preparing documents on word.
- Other ad hoc tasks when required.

- GCSE - English and Maths (Grade C or above)
