Responsible to: Lettings & Events Manager

2 shifts - 1 evening 4:45pm to 8:00pm. 1 weekend shift am or pm (between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm)

Job Specification:

- To ensure the smooth operation of the facilities, mainly the sports centre;
- Maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and hygiene
- Advise and assist users of the centre and exceed their customer service expectations
- Flexibility towards the hours and role
- To assist the Lettings Manager in carrying out duties and responsibilities for safeguarding the full and safe use of WGS (Enterprises) sports facilities

**Job Description**:

- Welcome and assist users and guests to WGS Sports Centre
- Prepare appropriate activity areas
- Set up sports / activity equipment for sports centre lettings
- Inspect sports / activity areas prior to use: quick mindful risk assessment
- Assist sports centre users with the above and with all relevant enquiries
- Ensure changing room facilities are kept clean and well maintained
- Clear / store sports equipment after a letting
- Record accidents or incidents according to NOP guidelines
- Report to the LEM matters of immediate health and safety concern: and issues of an operational / procedural nature
- To undertake tasks or duties relevant to one’s career development and training needs
- Assist with cleaning tasks as and when required

- Good time keeper (essential)
- Motivated with good initiative (essential)
- Flexibility towards the hours and role (essential)
- Leisure Industry experience (desirable)
- Lifeguard qualification (desirable)
- A keen interest to work in the sport or leisure industry (desirable)

You must be aware that you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act as revised from time to time.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week
