**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
- Under direction, taking responsibility for parts of the catering operation
- As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s policies and procedures
- Working within existing processes and procedures, however, the nature of food preparation will require some creative thinking
- Occasionally assisting less experienced colleagues
- Shared responsibility for maintaining appropriate records and data as required under the company’s policies and guidelines
- Working within a busy kitchen environment using a variety of equipment where many routine tasks are repetitive and require a degree of sustained physical effort and concentration

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety in the workplace.
- Relevant Catering Qualification.
- Basic Food Hygiene Level 2.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- An appreciation of basic food hygiene.
