Barista

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding menu items.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations during food preparation and service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and assist each other as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Barista is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays as required.

Part time hours
- mostly weekend and evening hours.

Full time hours
- mostly weekday evening/mid day and weekend.

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
